ACT for NIH Statement on Passage of the FY 2027 Continuing Resolution (CR)

The Fiscal Year 2027 Continuing Resolution passed today with bipartisan support marks an important and necessary step toward a more stable, final funding package that prioritizes robust investment in America’s biomedical research enterprise and delays the rushed implementation of a damaging OMB rule. We urge Congress to build on this progress by providing researchers and patients with the consistent funding they depend on, and permanently rejecting any effort to interfere with funding decisions driven by scientific merit and the needs of those waiting on cures.
