“Better treatments and cures are a public-private collaboration.   Government and the private sector need to work hand in hand to turn promising discoveries into practical patient therapies and treatments.  At Sanford Burnham Prebys, we couldn’t do what we do without the basic research findings that NIH funds and provides.  My work with ACT for NIH will help provide that bridge between the public and private sector and encourage collaboration."
